I use it with my MacBook Pro and it works well. The interface layout really couldn't be easier, plenty of monitoring options. I have heard it doesn't work as well with a PC, but I have no experience with that. This unit is used in major studios all across the world, and after using it I See why. Digidesign Digi Rack. I had no issues what so ever. I would change nothing in terms of usability.

Log in Become a member. Every function that the interface can handle is accessible and easy to use. I used this unit on lone from a friend, vigidesign as great as it is I can't really see paying full price for it.

It is like having a real full professional studio right in your house. I only have ProTools on my Mac.

It does allow you to run several tracks at once, so if you are running this on a mac with a lot of ram you will be good to go! So I'm not sure I would do this choice today, because at the same price, you can find much better!

Since this rack is pretty much made for Pro Tools it makes it really easy to configure and to set it up and start using it right away. Well figidesign is no such that as 0 latencybut you would think the DigiDesign Digideaign had 0 latency with how well it worked!

I do suggest getting the actual Digital Mixing Console board over the rack digldesign, it will come in handy later down the road. Nine for the price, there are much better now with many entries, better preamp and DSP. Digi Rack, FireWire audio interface from Digidesign. I'd much rather pickup a Makie onyx board or some other equivalent unit for half that price.

I tend to stick to guitars and vocals, as well as rough demos for my band. It's compatible with Pro Tools and it doesn't cause my computer any problems. Four channels, bit at up to 96kHz sample rate support. They are also identified pretty easily, which is good for me since I use larger boards in a studio. Write a user review.

Digi and Drivers

I haven't had a need to ever look at the manual as it was easy enough to figure out. Digidesign does create other audio interfaces that can be used on several platforms though. For that price yes. I haven't had any compatibility issues with the interface, although I do have occasional digideign with the Pro Tools software.

The interface isn't great but it digidrsign fine. My choice was on these interfaces especially because I was using ProTools studio for several years. With the newer units the problem has been fixed.

I wouldn't say anything was missing. I love the fact that this is a high quality unit, with great sound and features. Many inputs and outputs on the FW. The price of this interface is really fair and reasonable.

The only problem occurs with the Pro Tools software, not this interface. For these ends, it's great.

Probably the best interface of I have every worked on. We had absolutely zero problems with it, for the few hours we were using it. I am very familiar with pro tools so it was simple. Output Dividesign use rqck Presonus Central Station that allows me to select different plays and juggling different sources, particularly useful to avoid latency when monitoring Digi while shooting.

The unit can supply phantom power if need be. I use it with Pro Tools 7.
