M-Audio MobilePre Digital Recording Interface
Log in or Sign up. Stereo with independent gain is good.

M Audio's 'MobilePre USB' is the preamp with a built-in audio interface that's designed for laptop recording such as field recording and sampling expeditions. So if you do live with will be with grsillement ca Very simple features for the basics to get started.
I'd give it a 10, but it would need to be 50 less: Sounds clean enough but not much head room for peaks, you need to run it on the cool side.
Don't regret buying it, but don't expect to get totally top-notch sound out of it by a long shot!! I used it only with Steinberg Cubase SX 2.

It has a dedicated headphone output with a volume control in addition to another stereo output. You'll still get the trustworthy service you've come to expect from zZounds, without paying more for your gear! And it's portable, so you can record anywhere! Music New This Week.
I cant really be a judge on using instruments on it but im still giving it a Its prolly cuz of the mono output properties of the mic or something but consider what I said if you want to buy the preamp. Could you briefly tell us why the review was or was not helpful?
I got my first opportunity to make use of it yesterday and what a difference it made! So, something is up with the preamp. It broke, and loses points because of that.
Also doesn't iTunes and the mac's sound. Of course, m-audko can use it on the desktop as well. Good sound, except when the phantom power broke after 6 months of use, with approximately 20 minutes of total regular use per week. Firewire hadn't broken onto the market yet.
